Nigeria: Oil Theft: Military Uncovers Bunkering Website Close to Rivers Port Advanced

The Nigerian Military yesterday uncovered a large unlawful bunkering website situated at Makoba Seashore, about one kilometre from the Rivers Port Advanced situated in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Commander of two Brigade, Nigeria Military, Port Harcourt, Brig.-Gen. Stevenson Olabanji, who disclosed this to newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday, stated that 13 suspects have been arrested on the scene of the unlawful facility which can also be about two kilometers from Authorities Home, Port Harcourt.
He stated, “About 16:40 hours on Monday, we received info that some unlawful bunkering actions have been occurring alongside Makoba Seashore. On arrival, our personnel found unlawful actions which concerned bunkering (of illegally refined petroleum merchandise) and lifting of diesel to native boats.
