NT Chief Minister refuses to rule out sacking for refusal of ‘voluntary pay freeze’1:57

Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner isn’t ruling out sacking executive-level public servants in the event that they refuse to enroll to a pay freeze for a minimum of the following three years.

‘Everybody will be taking the pay freeze,’ Mr Gunner says, and in the event that they don’t ‘they’ll have a separate dialog’.

Previous to Christmas, the territory was on observe to succeed in a web debt of $35 billion in a decade if it didn’t reign in spending, which was adopted by a plan introduced in April to freeze the pay of politicians and senior public servants.
