You know they used to have mad love, but now they got bad blood. Oh yes they do. Katy Perry releases her brand new perfume which has a very coincidental name in relation to her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift.

DAYS after Ruby Rose lashed out at singer Katy Perry with a series of extremely obvious tweets, the Australian actress appears to have frantically backpeddled on Twitter writing it’s “not my place”.

Rose, who also happens to be a member of Taylor Swift’s infamous girl squad, took to Twitter on Friday to slam Perry’s new song Swish Swish.

The brand new single is quite obviously a diss track, with many claiming the song was aimed at Swift after her 2014 song Bad Blood turned her and Perry’s long-running feud into lyrical fodder.

The new single had plenty of choice lines such as, “Your game is tired, you should retire, you’re about cute as an old coupon expired. And karma’s not a liar, she keeps receipts.”

And, Ruby Rose definitely wasn’t a fan of the track, taking to Twitter to defend her friend.

If you’re confused, here’s the translation.

“Purposeful poop” = When Katy debuted her single Chained To The Rhythm earlier this year, she declared it would usher in a new era of socially conscious “purposeful pop.” What Ruby’s very cleverly done here is change the “pop” to “poop.”

“Bomb a Petit” = Katy’s follow-up single, Bon Appetit, was poorly received by fans and critics. What Ruby’s very cleverly done her is change the “Bon” to “Bomb.”

“A sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda” = This is Ruby’s less than glowing review of Swish Swish, which she claims samples a track by dance act Funkagenda.

“Stop trying to make Wit … I mean Fetch happen.” = Katy’s upcoming album is called Witness, and Ruby’s telling the singer to give up on the album via the time-honoured medium of a classic Mean Girls quote.

After her pointed tweets, Rose was clearly attacked by plenty of Perry’s devoted fans because a couple of hours later she sent out a tweet claiming she has always stood up “against things I think are cheap or mean spirited”.

Now, two days after her original tweets slamming the single, Rose has taken to Twitter again to defend herself.

And, despite Rose slamming Katy Perry, she was very careful to avoid starting a feud with rapper Nicki Minaj, who guest features on the song.

“Not gonna lie Nicki is great on it and basically the only part that doesn’t sound a mess,” she tweeted.

Katy Perry has stayed quiet about the tweets, instead leaving it up to her fans.

All the singer has tweeted was a reply to a fan asking her “So what is the liberation for Swish Swish?” to which she simply replied “Liberation from all the negative and the people that try and keep you down”.
